This week's edition of the Freeware Files may seem a little unusual, but hear me out. A number of you faithful Freeware Files readers are going to be receiving (or have received) awesome gifts from Santa/your parents/Best Buy this holiday season. Trust me--I checked the list myself. New Digital Copies on the actual Blu-ray Disc from Sony exclusively for the PSP

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Sept. 28 said going forward it would incorporate directly on a Blu-ray Disc the digital copy of a new-release movie playable on the PlayStation Portable (PSP). The digital file can be transferred from the disc to a PSP using the Blu-ray drive in a PlayStation 3.

To use this feature, you may be required to update the system software of the PS3™ system and the PSP™ system.

 

Using your PSP™ system and a wireless access point (such as that found through a commercial wireless hotspot (wireless LAN) service), you can connect to the PS3™ system that is located within your home via the Internet. To use remote play from outside your home, the PS3™ system must be set in remote play connection standby mode.
